This canvas combines acrylics with a collage focal point using shells gathered on the North Shore along with various found items and a modified casting of a face. My work is never fully planned, I let my work speak to me as I progress. This canvas was going to be a watery world, and that sense of “suspension” emerged which we have all been feeling in the past year, waiting for life to begin again.
I’ve been hanging on to this canvas for a little while. I have just submitted it for an art show so we will see if it is accepted. After that, I may be ready to let it go. If you are interested, follow me on social media to find out the fate of this work.
